Making Reading Connections
After reading "Aero and Officer Mike," our class had a visit from a community officer. Officer Wilson taught us about Stranger Danger. He shared what it is like to work in law enforcement. He is also a veteran!

Vocabulary Station Using iPods
Each week, the students in Room 4 work at a vocabulary station. They must pick six words to put in alphabetical order, pick three different words to illustrate using the app Skitch, and role play three additional words using the video camera on their iPods. The students' engagement when working on vocabulary words is a delight to see. They just can't wait to learn new words!
